CGS 108 Gender, Race and Artificial Intelligence
CGS 108 explores the ways that artificial intelligence interacts with systems of power and oppression and gives rise to militarized, gendered, racialized social and physical landscapes of devastation and resistance. Following an introduction to the technical aspects of AI and intersectional critical gender studies frameworks of analysis, CGS 108 will focus on developing critiques of AI using three case studies: migration, labor, and the struggle for liberation in Palestine. This fast-paced summer session course will emphasize collective learning, group projects and context-dependent reasoning. For more information or questions, please contact the instructor, BT Werner bwerner@ucsd.edu
